Cathanda is a fuzzy cat that lives in the lap of luxury at Simon's place in Brisbane, Australia.

Cathanda is a (used to be) female pedigree himalayan colour point persian, with most unusual colourings. She is friendly when she wants to be, but very cool to strangers or anything not normal to her life. She looks exactly like the cat you would want to pick up and hug. However, picking up Cathanda will probably end in blood, although she will tolerate it for a short while for me, nearly everybody else is claw sharpening material. She loves to savage a wriggling piece of string and will spend long stretches of time in such pursuits. Cath spends a lot of her time on my lap while I watch TV or type at this computer, and has no problem with standing on my keyboard while I am trying to type.

Cathanda stays indoors to protect the local wildlife. Most days we will all go for a walk in the back yard to eat the grass, catch a grasshopper or just general investigation.
